Linda McMahon, the former head of World Wrestling Entertainment, has been named the US Education Chief by President-Elect Donald Trump. The shift is effective starting with the current administration, as President Trump has once again proposed a reduction or dissolution of the Department of Education’s functions and their transfer to the individual states.
President Trump expressed confidence in her ability to lead, and described her as a ‘fierce advocate for Parents’ Rights’. He added that it is absolutely redundant for such a dismissive tone to describe such a figure.
Trump expects a lot from Linda McMahon as US Education Chief
Linda McMahon is also known more in the close circle of Trump’s transition team, whose background includes about 11 years of service within the management sector. This apparently includes 2 years spent as a member of the Connecticut Board of Education and 16 years as a trustee in a private university. And again, he pointed to her track record against “Parental neglect” as making her the obvious person to take up the responsibility of fostering education reforms under his guidance.
Ms. McMahon was quick to reply and accept this interesting opening under Trump. She was made popular in 2017 for serving in the capacity of an Associate Administrator of the Small Business Administration and she played a vital role in delivering these services to countless small businesses across the United States.
Since 2021, Linda McMahon has been spearheading the Center for the American Worker at the America First Policy Institute in line with Trump’s agenda. It is not only because of WWE that they are together even beyond the boundaries of these social institutions making them better colleagues as the former as the physical energy of wrestling.
McMahon thankful to Trump for the offer
During the Republican convention in Milwaukee, McMahon expressed her gratitude to Trump, referring him to as a colleague, a boss, and a friend. And the work that he is currently doing in the governmental sector has prompted her to take a decision. She allowed herself to pick up her phone, “Hi Madam Chancellor, Meghan”, she then opened it by stating, “There is a lot to do, simply because the political aspects are real and the services were very good prior to my appointment.”
The appointment of McMahon as Secretary of Education requires her business tactics and her in-bounds of education planning. It will be important to create an understanding that there is a new view on education and control in US politics focused on the transfer of responsibilities. She has served people and companies in the past. Now, she will head one of the most ambitious Trump reforms that is envisioned for this campaign.
