Khamenei's Hebrew X account suspended by Elon Musk: Here is why

According to a Jerusalem Post report, Elon Musk’s X platform has suspended the new Khamenei’s Hebrew X account, a new page linked to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. This immediate suspension came a few days after the 85-year-old leader published just two posts on the account, one of which begins with the phrase,

“In the name of Allah, the most merciful.” Khamenei then reposted this Hebrew message on his verified English account, Khamenei.ir, which carries more than one million followers.

Khamenei’s Hebrew X account stirred different reactions. Israel’s volunteer disaster response team, ZAKA, reacted to the post using a line from the Jewish Kaddish, a prayer traditionally recited for the deceased. The account suspension comes within the context of recent escalations between Israel and Iran, following Israeli airstrikes that targeted missile production facilities and other military sites in Iran, resulting in four Iranian soldiers’ deaths.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian responded to Israel’s newest wave of air attacks by referencing Iran’s stance on defence. In an IRNA report, Pezeshkian declared that Iran has the right to defend its nation and people and promised to retaliate proportionally to what he described as “Zionist aggression.” Ayatollah had his say on his Hebrew X account and asked international, economic, political, and even military alliances to counter what he said were the aggressions of Israel and its “war crimes.”

This comment published via Khamenei’s Hebrew X account reached influential governments around the globe along with international organizations and authorities at the United Nations even for a stern rebuttal.

Khamenei criticized what he viewed was not taken for appropriate intervention into the now even more rife flares in Gaza and Lebanon, which he pointed he said were also magnified by Israel’s most current operations, which he asserted there should not be. This fueled more attention globally of attempts to address the outburst going around the world and region.
