North Korea sends military troops to Russia to destroy Ukraine

North Korea sends military troops to Russia to destroy Ukraine

North Korea has sent military troops to Russia to assist its ally attack Ukraine, significantly changing the moves of Moscow. US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin confirmed this development Wednesday, a “very serious” move, which could have direct consequences for both Europe and Asia. Meanwhile, Austin said intelligence reports showed that there are North Korean troops but in what role it was still not clear.

This is, reportedly, a desperate deployment by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“This is an indication that he may be in even more trouble than most people realize. He went tin-cupping early on to get additional weapons and materials from the D.P.R.K (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea),’’ Austin said.

He added,

“And then from Iran, and now, he’s making a move to get more people.”

Notably, he discussed with reporters how Putin was relying on outside forces including North Korean soldiers and mercenaries from Iran to take action. According to U.S. sources, 2,500 North Korean troops have already been deployed to Russia, and many more are expected to show up soon. These troops are closely monitored by intelligence analysts to determine if they will be sent to Ukraine.

North Korea sends military troops to Russia, over 12,000 soldiers under training

Reports have been flooding the media, mainly from Ukraine and South Korea, that over 12,000 North Korean soldiers are being trained to battle with Russian troops. They are said to be training in Vladivostok and other Russian territories in preparation for battle with Russia. According to the Ukrainians, they could be sent into the Kursk region.

The entire story of what North Korea might get in return for this military aid remains shrouded in mystery. While no reported arrangement involves compensation or actual products, among the speculative plans are advancements in missile technologies. According to reports, the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, has long been interested in having his country’s intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of reaching U.S. soil.

The international community has reacted with alarm to this development, despite both Moscow and Pyongyang denying the same. NATO allies are discussing the implications of North Korea’s involvement, and there have been calls for further investigation into the situation. Tensions are escalating; the world is left to watch how this new partnership will impact the war in Ukraine and beyond.
