Activa e.: A Modern Take on a Beloved Classic

The Activa e: This takes the same name and frame as its best-selling petrol siblings but brings a new design. An LED headlamp and turn indicators are included as part of the stylish LED DRL.

Two 1.5 kWh capacity batteries under the seat combine to power a 4.2 kW, or 5.6 bhp, motor and a maximum output of 6.0 kW or 8 bhp. This setup offers an impressive range of 102 km per charge, with riding modes like Standard, Sport, and Econ adding versatility.

The Activa e: showcases Honda’s commitment to innovation, consequently making it a significant player among electric scooters in the Indian market.

QC1—Compact and City-Friendly

The QC1 is scheduled to be launched in 2025. This will focus on short-distance urban commutes. It looks similar to the Activa e. However, it comes with a fixed 1.5 kWh battery pack, which can be charged from a dedicated floorboard socket. The in-wheel motor makes 1.2 kW (1.6 bhp) and peaks at 1.8 kW (2.4 bhp). These features give it an 80 km range per charge.

QC1 has further advanced features, such as a 5-inch LCD instrument panel, under-seat storage, and a USB Type-C socket. These are in consideration for the tech-savvy rider. The practicality of electric scooters by Honda QC1 seems to resonate in the Indian market more than the daily commutes.
A Greener Future

With plans set to achieve carbon neutrality in the atmosphere of the earth by 2050, electric scooters stand very tall under Honda’s plan. Notably, India is a huge two-wheeler market. Thus, both Activa e: and QC1 reflect Honda’s very strategic approach to electrification combined with affordability and performance.
