Today, Maruti Suzuki has launch the new mid size SUV, named Victoris. This model aims to compete with the famous segment leaders like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Curvv, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.
SUV expected to built on Suzuki’s Global-C platform and measure between 4.2 and 4.3 meters in length and have a five-seat layout. The victoris is larger as compared to Grand Vitara. It is designed with elements inspired by Vitara but consist the Maruti’s unique styling.
Maruti Suzuki Launch Victoris: Size Bigger than Grand Vitara
The increase in size aims to improve boot space, which is important for families. For comparison, the Grand Vitara offers 373 liters of luggage space, while the Creta provides 433 liters. The new SUV should exceed both.
On the technical side, the Victoris will share its engine options with the Grand Vitara. It include a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with 104 bhp, an 88 bhp CNG variant for buyers concerned about running costs, and a 116 bhp petrol-hybrid version for better efficiency.
Maruti’s new SUV with Level-2 ADAS, Dolby Atmos audio, 6 airbags and more
Feature highlights expected to include several firsts for the segment. This SUV can become the first Maruti Suzuki model in India with Level-2 ADAS and will introduce Dolby Atmos audio to the brand. A powered tailgate, six airbags, and ESC will be standard features. The interior expected to include ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, wireless charging, and a sunroof.
The launch timing is important since Maruti Suzuki is also preparing to launch its first electric SUV, the e-Vitara. By offering both ICE and EV models, the company is enhancing its SUV range to capture a bigger share of India’s rapidly growing market.
