Range Rover Prices Drop Below 68 Lacs In India as Local Production Begins in India

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced that the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport will now be locally manufactured in India, which have led to Range Rover prices drop below 68 lacs in India. These iconic SUVs will be produced at JLR’s Pune facility marking the first time these models will be made outside the United Kingdom. This move is a milestone for India enhancing the accessibility and affordability of these luxury vehicles.

JLR’s Pune facility is already known for assembling popular models like the Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Evoque, Jaguar F-Pace and Discovery Sport. Now, the addition of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport strengthens its local production portfolio. The production of these SUVs in India will not only meet local demand but also complement global production which will continue in Solihull UK—the original home of Range Rover since 1970.

A Landmark Moment for Indian Manufacturing

Rajan Amba who is the Managing Director of JLR India expressed his pride in this achievement stating that India becoming the first country outside the UK to locally manufacture the Range Rover is an endorsement to the high standards maintained in local manufacturing. “This development combines British design and engineering with the pride of owning a ‘Made in India’ luxury vehicle” he added.
