TCS cancelled Q2 post-earnings press conference With Ratan Tata Death Anniversary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest IT services company, has cancelled its scheduled post-earnings press conference for the second quarter (Q2) results on October 9. This cancellation comes as the date falls on the death anniversary of Ratan Tata.

A report by Business Line stated that even though the press conference is off, the analyst call will still occur as planned on the same day. The news not independently confirm this information.

This is the second year in a row that TCS has changed its Q2 earnings-day schedule to honour Ratan Tata. Last year, the company also cancelled its Q2 press briefing after his passing, while other investor-related events continue as scheduled.

TCS Q2 Press conference cancelled, as aligned with Ratan Tata Death Anniversary 

TCS informed stock exchanges on September 22 that its Board of Directors meet on October 9 to consider. It approve the audited standalone financial results for the quarter and the six-month period ending September 30, 2025. The board will also consider declaring a second interim dividend for its equity shareholders.

In a separate filing on September 23, TCS mentioned that its leadership team originally set to address the media at 5:30 pm on October 9. The earnings conference call was scheduled to follow at 7 pm.

TCS Stock Performance 

Before the Q2 earnings announcement, TCS shares rose on Wednesday, October 8. By 10:35 am, the stock was up 1.8% at Rs 3,028.15, after reaching a high of Rs 3,042 earlier in the day.
