Two days after she was missing, Mitali dead body, 23-year-old girl was found wrapped in a plastic sheet in a drain close to Rajpura on Monday night time. The police have arrested a Banur resident and arrest three others on murder charges.
Mitali dead body found in Zirakpur
The victim, identified Mitali, a resident of Badal Colony, Zirakpur, works at IT Park, Chandigarh. According to reports, the victim’s body had injury marks.
Her father, Sohan Lal, had before filed a kidnapping complaint at the Zirakpur police station. He had advised the police that a Banur- based children, Sultan Mohammed, had been harassing his daughter for a long time. The accused and his aides had allegedly kidnapped Mitali around 11.30 pm on 7 March.
Sohan Lal further stated that the problem had been brought to the awareness of Investigating Officer Ashok Kumar the same day however alleged that no action was taken. “She has long gone from home only, not died yet,” the Investigating Officer was quoted as announcing in the FIR.
Family demand for justice
Irate local citizens, gathered outdoor the Zirakpur police station overdue on Monday night time to demand for justice for the victim and her own family.
Mitali’s father demanded that the case be probed further to reveal the involvement of different people in the conspiracy and that everyone the accused be arrested on the earliest. After Mitali dead body found, senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Deepak Pareek said a murder case has been registered against the four accused. Three of the four guys, includes the prime accused, Sultan Mohammed, and his supporters Raj and Amandeep are absconding. The fourth accused, Rohit has been arrested, even as the police group have also allegedly involved in the crime.
