Police arrested a 33-year-old man in case of Bengaluru Murder of a woman whose body dumped in a garbage truck. The accused, recognized as Shamsuddin from Assam, was the woman’s live-in partner and arrested in 20 hours of the body’s discovery, police said.
According to South Division DCP Lokesh B Jagalasar, the body observed around 2 am in the ST Bed Layout area (in southern Bengaluru’s Koramangala) after a complaint from local residents. “A case of murder now registered,” he said.
Bengaluru Murder Victim Asha
The deceased identified as 40-year-old Asha, a native resident of the nearby Hulimavu place in south Bengaluru. Asha was widow and is in relationship Shamsuddin for over a year. They had moved in together 4 months ago and had been posing as a married couple. Both hired by the same housework materials company close to Hulimavu, where they first met.
According to police assets, the relationship was stressful due to arguments. Asha was allegedly suffering from alcohol, which was a source of warfare as she also engaged in late night phone calls.
Police found dead body in Garbage truck
On the night time of the Bengaluru Murder incident, Shamsuddin returned home under the influence of alcohol. An argument arise, and he allegedly strangled her to death.
Police said Shamsuddin then dumped the body into a bag, take it on his bike for nearly 20 km, and dumped it into a BBMP garbage truck close to a popular skating arena in the city before fleeing.
The body was located in the truck, with the legs tied to the neck. Initial reports had recommended the woman aged between 25 and 30 years old and may have been sexually assaulted. She was wearing a T-shirt and pants but no undergarments.
