A day after the body of a missing person recovered from a canal in Haryana with slit marks round her neck, her boyfriend was arrested in Sheetal Murder case through the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA).
Sunil, a resident of Israna, has confessed to stabbing Sheetal to death. A senior Haryana police officer, Satish Vats, said Sunil staged a fake accident by pushing Sheetal’s car into a canal close to Sonipat’s Kharkhoda to mislead the research.
Sheetal Murder Investigation: Accused drove Victim into canal
“The accused stabbed the victim to loss of life, after which drove the auto into the canal to make it appear to be accident,” Vats said. Police said Sheetal found that Sunil married already, leading to a problems between the both.
Sheetal, who worked in the Haryana music industry, went missing on June 14, following which her family filed a missing report on the Matlauda police station. Police resources said Sheetal had left in a car with Sunil.
According to CIA-1 in-charge sub-inspector Sandeep, the criticism lodged by a girl from Panipat’s Satkartar Colony, who said she and her 5 siblings, include Sheetal, lived together.
Sheetal missing from Shoot in Ahar Village
On June 14, Sheetal went to Ahar village for a shoot and not returned. Following the criticism, police registered a case under Section 127(6) of the BNS and launched a search operation.
On Monday morning, Sheetal’s body found. The body sent for autopsy at PGI Khanpur, after which she passed over to her family. After recording the family’s statements, police registered a Sheetal Murder case. Sunil arrested near Park Hospital, and he, in the end, confessed to killing Sheetal.
