Delhi Car Blast Probe Reveals Terror Module Targeted Global Coffee Chain

A group of doctors arrested in connection with the November 10, 2025, Delhi Red Fort car-borne suicide attack that killed over a dozen people was reportedly planning to bomb the locations of a global coffee chain, whose founder is Jewish, a government source told The Hindu. The so-called “white collar terror module” had been active for the past four years, the source added.

Investigation reveal terror module behind Delhi Car Blast

The three accused doctors, Muzamil Ahmad Ganaie and Adeel Ahmed Rather from Jammu and Kashmir, and Shaheen Saeed from Uttar Pradesh, informed investigators that they disagreed with Umar-Un-Nabi, the car-borne attacker who died in the incident, about the choice of targets.

They aimed to attack coffee chain outlets in Delhi and other major Indian cities to send a message against Israel’s military actions in Gaza. Some group members preferred to limit the plot to targeting security forces in Jammu and Kashmir, according to source.

Global terror organization al-Qaeda behind it

The group intended to revive the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH), the Indian branch of the global terror organization al-Qaeda, a senior government official reported. The AGuH established by Zakir Musa, who killed during a encounter with security forces in 2019 in Tral, south Kashmir. The accused doctors sought to bring the AGuH back to life and “establish Islamic law in the country” after the group’s last known commander, Muzamil Ahmad Tantray also killed in an encounter in 2021.

The Delhi Red Fort car explosion followed a 20-day investigation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police to find a “terror module” connected to two terror outfits—Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and AGuH—after a JeM pamphlet appeared in Srinagar on October 19, 2025.
