An old age women died during treatment at the hospital after she dumped by her own family members in a critical condition in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya on Thursday night. The incident cause outrage with people looking for tough measures towards the culprits.
The police had rushed the woman to a clinic, believed to be in her late 70s or early 80s, after the locals alerted them to her situation. CCTV pictures obtained from the spot showed women, helped by an e-rickshaw driver, dropping the women by the roadside in the Kishun Daspur.
Two women dumped the old age women in Ayodhya
According to the police, CCTV footage actually showed the two women dropping a subconscious woman, who seem sick, on the roadside after ferrying her in an e-rickshaw. After leaving her there, both fled the spot without offering any help or informing the government.
The victim found in a serious situation and not able to talk. She could not even perceive herself whilst the locals need to know who she was and where she lived.
Moments later, locals alerted the police, who reached the spot and rushed the women to Darshannagar Medical College. She undergoes treatment as doctors said that her situation remained critical. She later died during the duration of treatment.
Police check CCTV footage
Police have a starts investigation and examining CCTV footage to check the identities of the two women and the e-rickshaw driver in Ayodhya. Efforts are also made to found old age woman’s ID with the help of nearby citizens.
A senior police officer said, “Our priority is to save women life. Identifying and taking action against those responsible is equally crucial. We are assured the peoples seen in the pictures can be traced soon”.
