A Flipkart delivery boy was murdered upon delivering an iPhone as the recipient did not want to pay. Gajanan, who was the receiver of the iPhone, attacked the 30-year-old delivery boy named Bharat with his accomplice.

The delivery boy had to deliver an Apple iPhone worth Rs 1.5 lakh using the COD option as placed by a customer. When Bharat came to hand over the iPhone, Gajanan attacked and strangulated him. Murdering the delivery boy, the culprits put his body in a bag and threw it into the Indira Canal.

When two days elapsed and Bharat did not return home, his family filed a missing person complaint. Police began their investigation while tracing Bharat’s call records, which pointed towards Gajanan’s phone number. Gajanan’s accomplice, Akash, confessed in the interrogation to the crime.

The police are still searching for the body of Bharat in the Indira Canal. To retrieve the body, the State Disaster Response Force, SDRF, was also summoned. This incident in which the Flipkart delivery boy was murdered, took place in Uttar Pradesh. Deputy Commissioner of Police Shashank Singh is handling the case.

The murder case was, however, triggered by resistance from Gajanan to the money demanded for the iPhone. Police are questioning Gajanan and his accomplice for further detail. Bharat’s family is waiting for answers and a just resolution over this nefarious crime. Flipcart, the portal used, has not issued a word so far on the incident. The culprits did not even pay for the iPhone worth Rs 1.5 lakh. Everyone concerned has to be brought before the law. The investigation is going on and is still in the process of retrieving Bharat’s body; also, this seems to be an important focus point of the investigation. The crime shocked the small-scale community, but it spread awareness regarding the safe coverage of delivery workers.
