As the thriller surrounding the disappearance of an Indore couple in Meghalaya deepens, pictures from a CCTV at a resort where they have been staying has emerged. The blurry video shows Raja Raghuvanshi and his newly-wedded spouse Sonam check in Shillong Hotel on 22 May.
The couple was visible on May 23. They rent a scooter, that later found at Sohrarim an afternoon when they went missing. They also spoke to own family members on May 23.
Indore Couple Missing Case: Husband Dead Body Found
On June 2, Raja’s dead body found at Sohrarim close to Cherrapunji. His wife, Sonam, remains lacking and police are searching out her. The National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force and a Special Operations Team have also joined the search.
Police found Raja’s body with a drone. It was in a deep gorge next to a car parking zone. Police also determined his phone and a machete that used to kill him.
Rescue Team Stilling Finding Wife
East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem has said. “It is a clear case of homicide. It is murder case clearly, no doubt around that.” Meghalaya Police registered a murder case and a Special Investigation Team start their investigation. The family of Indore couple demands that probe will transferred to CBI.
“We call for a CBI probe in the case. His body found 25 km from in which the scooter was parked. We suspect he was kidnapped and brought wherein the body found,” the victim’s brother said.
Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma assured that justice will be delivered. “Justice served in the tragic case of the Indore Couple who murdered in Sohra, and our rescue operations to find his wife are ongoing.”
