Another Ludhiana Murder case comes out. A decomposed body of a 40-year-old man found in a blue drum in Ludhiana’s Sherpur location. Ragpickers discovered the body after noticing a robust foul scent coming from the abandoned drum located in a vacant plot, evoking chilling memories of the sensational Meerut murder case.
Division Number 6 police visited the scene and said that the body wrapped in a bedsheet, enclosed in a plastic gunny sack, with the neck and legs tied with rope.
This discovery comes months after the high-profile Meerut homicide case, in which a former merchant military officer allegedly stabbed to death, his body chopped up and concealed in a similar drum.

The deceased appears to be a migrant. No injury marks seen because of the deteriorated condition, but the post-mortem determine the precise cause of demise.
Investigators maintained a listing of 42 drum production units in the town, elevating suspicions that the drum newly sold. Police have filed a case of homicide against unknown people and initiated a probe to know about victim and the killers. There is suspicion that the drum recently bought before the killing.

Police also checking CCTV pictures from close by areas to know any movement related to the drum thrown at the spot. Further, they’re looking into missing person reports filed in Ludhiana and neighbouring districts over the last week to pick out the victim. “Many drum sellers being questioned. A huge number of migrants stay across the crime scene, and we’re interrogating them as well,” Kaur said.
Authorities suspect the precision in the way the body wrapped and hidden show that the Ludhiana Murder have premeditated and someone acquainted with the area carried it out.
