Four people accused in the Kolkata Gang Rape case were bring to South Calcutta Law College on Friday because the West Bengal Police moved to reconstruct the crime scene.
A police team took main accused Monojit Mishra, students Pramit Mukherjee and Zaib Ahmed, and security guard Pinaki Banerjee to the institute in the Kasba location to reconstruct the scene.
Kolkata Gang Rape Scene Reconstruct for investigation
“The reconstruction of the crime scene is a crucial a part of the investigation. We finished the mission today. The four accused individuals taken to the South Calcutta Law College early this morning, and the mission is completed,” a police officer said.
It took over 4 hours to complete the mission, the file added. The complete reconstruction procedure completed in the presence of a big police team. It lasted more than four hours, following which the four taken back to the police station.
How Police team reconstruct crime scene?
About the Kolkata Gang Rape reconstruction method, an officer informed PTI that the 4 have been first taken to the union room, then to the washroom and the guard’s room of the university in the southern part of the city Kasba location.
He said that the 4 asked to enact what they’d precisely carried out before and while carrying out the crime on 25 June. “Our senior officers were present for the duration of the whole method. After the accused taken away, our officials took notes of the info of the reconstruction,” he said.
