Rape and Murder Case in Karnataka: 20-year-old BA student Partially Burnt Body Found

A 20 -year -old student’s partially burnt body found two days after the disappearance in Chitradurg district of Karnataka. Varshita, a second-year BA student at the First Grade College of the Government’s Women, left her hostel on 14 August and did not return.

His parents had come to file a missing complaint and informed about his death, causing them to be in shock and grief. Police suspect that Varshita was raped and murdered, and his body set on fire to destroy the evidence.

A case of murder registered at the Rural Police Station, and a large-scale investigation is going on for the accused. When the investigation continued, Disp Dikar and Pai Mudu Raj visited the hospital. Officers are waiting for the post-mortem report.
