The victim, Susen Chandra Sarkar, owned ‘BhaiBhai Enterprise’ and lived in Southkanda village. Hossain stated that the attackers used a sharp weapon to kill Sarkar, left him in the shop, and closed the shutters. When Sarkar’s family searched for him, they found him covered in blood after opening the shop’s shutters.

Sarkar was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

“We have had a rice business for a long time. No one had any problems with us. The criminals stole several hundred thousand taka from the store after they brutally killed my father,” said Sujan Sarkar, the victim’s son. He called for the quick identification and punishment of his father’s killers.  Sarkar’s murder marks another incident of violence against the minority community.
