A terrorist was killed and three Army personnel were injured in a Terrorist Encounter that occurred in the Guddar forest area of Kulgam district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. Officials said the operation started after the Jammu and Kashmir Police received specific intelligence. It results in joint search by the Indian Army, J&K Police, and CRPF.

“Vigilant troops observed suspicious activity. When challenged, terrorists opened fire, leading to a fight of gunfire. One terrorist was killed, and a junior commissioned officer was injured. The operation is ongoing,” the Chinar Corps of the Indian Army posted on X. Security officials mentioned that two to three terrorists still hiding in the area. Additional forces have been deployed, and the encounter continues.
