A Truck Driver, who went missing after an accident with a car, has been located at Pune home of former IAS officer Puja Khedkar. This new development is adding to her problems.
In September of last year, the Centre dismissed Puja Khedkar from the Indian Administrative Service after the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) canceled her selection in competitive branches of government service.
Missing Truck Driver found at Puja Khedkar’s home in Pune
Khedkar found guilty of cheating and inappropriately using Other Backward Classes (OBC) and disability quota. Following the cancellation, the UPSC banned her from taking the entrance exam for life. The Commission concluded that she had faked her identity to take the exam multiple times.
Recently, a accident occurred between a mixer truck and a car at the Airoli signal in Navi Mumbai. The police reported that the truck driver, Prahlad Kumar, was missing. He was driving his mixer truck when it collided with a car with the number plate MH 12 RT 5000. After the crash, two people from the car forced Prahlad Kumar into their vehicle and drove away.
Pooja Khedkar and her mother arrested
During the investigation, police tracked down the car to Pooja Khedkar’s house in the Chatushringi area of Pune. They rescued the kidnapped Truck Driver from the former officer’s home. However, the police encountered resistance from Puja Khedkar’s mother. They said that Manorama Khedkar, her mother, misbehaved with them, refused to open the door, and hindered their actions.
Due to this, the police have issued a summons to Manorama Khedkar, requiring her to appear at the station for further questioning. Last year, a viral video captured Senior Khedkar brandishing a gun during a dispute over land. It led to public outrage and her arrest in Hirkaniwadi village, Raigad.
