Pi Mannet Network Update: The Pi Network announced that it had extended its Grace Period deadline to January 31, 2025, consistent with a new timeline for the long-awaited Open Network launch. The Grace Period, initially due to end on December 31, 2024, has now been extended for more Pioneers so that they may finish up some of the most crucial steps, including KYC and Mainnet migration.
This update comes hand in glove with the news that Pi Network has moved its targeted launch date for the Open Network phase to the first quarter of 2025. This indicates that the platform seeks to provide inclusivity in a broader sense, thereby reducing the gap created between KYC-verified users and Mainnet-migrated users.
The Core Team noted the importance of the extension to give millions of Pioneers more time to lock their balances and join the Mainnet. The Founders, Chengdiao Fan, and Nicolas Kokkalis, marked milestones in attaining 18 million KYC-verified Pioneers and 8 million migrated to Mainnet. This team stressed the need to achieve a 10 million migration milestone before Open Network can launch officially.
Founders comment on the latest Pi Mannet network update
“Our aim is to establish a network from which every participant can engage meaningfully. The extension of the Grace Period enables more Pioneers to migrate and stabilizes the ecosystem in the long term,” the Founders said.
KYC and Migration Updates
Pi Network continues to make significant strides in processing KYC applications and migrating users to Mainnet. With upgrades to its systems, the network is now migrating approximately 200,000 Pioneers daily. Users are encouraged to complete pending checklist items, while those in tentative KYC status must take steps to finalize their verification.
Future
The Pi Mannet Network update announced more than 80 apps ready on Mainnet to improve the utility and engagement within the Pi ecosystem. Developers and merchants are encouraged to integrate Pi into their platforms; once Open Network launches, these will foster a thriving digital economy.
