Assam Govt announce 7,650 Grade III results, CM promise 2 lakh appointments

The Assamgovernment announced the 7,650 Grade III results under the Assam Direct Recruitment Examinations (ADRE) on Friday. CM Sarma stated that the state is on track to reach nearly two lakh government jobs during his time in office.

Ajay Tewari, Additional Chief Secretary and Chairman of the State Level Recruitment Commission for Class-III Posts, explained that the results cover vacancies in 50 departments.

The Agriculture Department has the openings at 1,850, followed by Panchayat and Rural Development with 873, and School Education with 581. The exams took place across 28 districts in September 2024, with over 17 lakh candidates participating.

Tewari also mentioned that along with the ADRE results, they released the list of selected candidates for 625 police positions, including sub-inspectors, constables, and Grade IV staff. Results for another 5,614 police posts are expected to be announced on Saturday.

Government promote transparency in exam and results

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), CM Sarma said, “Once again, we have delivered on our promise of clear, transparent, and merit-based recruitment. With the declaration of ADRE and other Grade III results today, Assam stands tall, setting a new standard for honesty, fairness, and opportunity in public appointments.”

“We had pledged 1 lakh appointments, and today we are well on our way to achieving nearly 2 lakh appointments; a true testament to our commitment to the youth of Assam. The future of our young generation is secure, and their hard work defines success in this New Assam,” he said.
