The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) issued an advisory on February 16. It warns students, parents, and schools about fake news ahead of the upcoming Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2026. The exams are set to start on February 17, 2026.
The Board noted that in previous years, some people tried to mislead students and parents by sharing false information on social media. This included incorrect claims about question paper leaks and the distribution of fake board papers for Classes X and XII. CBSE stressed that everyone should stay alert and avoid unverified news, rumors, or false content. Believing or sharing such information can create unnecessary worry among students and may hurt their preparations during this important time in their education.

The Board promised that strong arrangements made to ensure the exams run smoothly, securely, and fairly, just like in previous years. Any attempt to spread false information or disrupt the exam process dealt with seriously according to the rules. CBSE advised all parties to rely only on official sources for correct information, which include:
