The Delhi Government has announced that a entrance exam for admissions to Classes 6 to 8 in 33 out of 75 proposed CM Shri colleges for the academic year 2025-26.
According to the Directorate of Education (DoE), the CM Shri Schools Admission Test 2025 will conducts on August 30. The application window for this test will open from July 30 to August 15. Admit cards available from August 23, and results out on September 10, with final admissions to finished by September 15.
OMR Based tests with No Negative Marketing conducts by Delhi Government
The entrance test is OMR-based, objective-type, and conducted in Hindi and English. It covers five sections, Hindi, English, General Awareness, Mental Ability, and Numerical Aptitude.
The test will run for 150 minutes, and extra time will be provided for CWSN category students. No negative marking is applicable. Test centres set up throughout the faculties under the Directorate to ensure accessibility.
Relaxations to candidates
The test is open to students living in Delhi and currently enrolled in Delhi-based school for the year 2025-26. As per the guidelines, at least 50 % of the seats will reserved for students from government or government-aided colleges, consisting of DoE, MCD, NDMC, KVs, and JNVs. A 5 % relaxation in eligibility marks provided to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) students and CWSN, as per Delhi Government guidelines.
