He claimed DSO members attacked while trying to protect the democratic atmosphere of the campus, accusing ABVP supporters of tearing down banners and festoons.

The ABVP denied these claims, saying its members attacked by DSO activists while they were peacefully celebrating the election results, leading to injuries among their supporters. DSO, however, reported that one of its activists suffered a head injury and admitted to a hospital, while five others also assaulted.

A university official insisted that no clash occurred on campus. A senior police officer said that a clash did happen near the university gate, but security personnel quickly controlled the situation and urged both groups to keep calm.
