Abhishek Bachchan talks about weight gain ahead of film I Want to Talk

Abhishek Bachchan talks about weight gain

Abhishek Bachchan recently opened up about his weight gain during the music launch of upcoming film, I Want to Talk. He spoke about the challenge of taking on an all-new physical appearance for the film as he took a fully-light-hearted view of his gain.

Weight gain is easy but losing is hard, says Abhishek Bachchan

Laughing at the onset, pointing at a poster from the film where he sports a noticeable belly, he said, “Don’t ever put on weight for a film again. Trust me, at my age, it gets very difficult to lose it after a while.” Abhishek emphasized how embracing new experiences could add depth to an actor’s career, particularly in his collaboration with director Shoojit Sircar.

Abhishek Bachchan also mentions gaining weight, which were his musings about stepping out of the comfort zone. He candidly spoke about the mundane routine that life throws at one’s face. “We’re all in the rut of life,” he noted. “Some of us have corporate jobs, some are artists, and some do other things. Life dictates what we do and how we do it.

This realization prompted him to appreciate the working experience with Shoojit Sircar who, he said, motivated him to do something new. According to Abhishek, “What’s nice about working with Shoojit Da is that he allows you to break free from your routine and do something fresh.”

The actor further mused on the creative process, admitting that he really needed to get into a different skin for this film, and that new roles and challenges, like gaining weight, have been life-changing. “It’s been a learning experience,” Abhishek Bachchan said. “I’m not in this shape anymore, but it’s been rewarding.” His willingness to think outside the box and take on less conventional roles has led to what could be another fulfilling experience as an actor if audiences take notice and watch his latest endeavour.

I Want to Talk, directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sircar under Rising Sun Films, with abhishek and Johnny Lever will be released on November 22, 2024۔ The horizon waits to show this quite thought-provoking cinema experience.
