Telugu superstar Allu Arjun finally spoke about the recent controversy that involved a stampede row at the Hyderabad premiere of his film Pushpa 2. He expressed his disappointment with the accusations against him. The incident sparked heated discussions as it led to the tragic death of a 35-year-old woman and left her young son critically injured. “The allegations are humiliating. There’s a lot of misinformation. This feels like character assassination,” said Allu Arjun, urging people not to judge him prematurely.
It kicked off when Telangana CM Revanth Reddy accused the actor of attending the premiere at Sandhya Theatre without police permission. The chief minister asserted that the superstar’s attendance caused chaos as people stormed in, ending up with a deadly stampede.

Allu Arjun said in his explanation: “Permission was sought from the theatre management, and police made way for me. We did not know permission had not been given. When told otherwise, I could have gone away.” It is important to note that the actor says he is law-obeying and did not organize any roadshows by his name.
The Chief Minister further alleged that even after the woman’s death, the actor continued to stay inside the theatre and was forced to come out by the police. Allu Arjun refuted this. He said his manager had asked him to leave as the crowd outside was uncontrollable.
The actor waved at fans from the sunroof of his car before entering the venue, which allegedly led thousands of fans to surge towards him, adding to the chaos.
Adding fuel to the controversy, Telangana MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi claimed that an unnamed actor, when informed of the tragedy, allegedly remarked that the incident would make the film a hit.
Dismissing the accusations, Allu Arjun said, “I have a child of the same age as the victim’s son. How could I not feel the pain? No one should be blamed for this tragedy.”
