The former Bigg Boss contestant and TV actor, Shardul Pandit express his thoughts after watch the ‘Chhaava’ film. Shardul Pandit slams Bollywood and the education system for failing to highlight the actual Maratha warriors to audiences. He share his reaction, and questioned, why the stories of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj were not covered properly in school textbooks.
Shardul Pandit slams Bollywood
Shardul wrote on Instagram, “ I saw Chhaava yesterday and not help but ask my friend, ‘Ye sab humne kyu nahi padha?’ Why I remember everyone but don’t have a proof about the contribution of these great Maratha warriors? Why haven’t I been said in pride over a hero as Sambhaji or Shivaji?”
He express his disappointment, and slams the Indian film industry, from hiding the valour and legacy of the Marathas on big screen. He also states further, “Why was Bollywood shying to keep their legacy to light? Why were they deleted from my school books or not provided due weightage?”
Even he praised director Laxman Utekar, and cast team who make the impacts in this film. He also urges audiences to watch movies and states that it is important to celebrate the legacy of Maratha warriors.
Express Concern on Political Agendas
While Shardul Pandit slams Bollywood, he also expresses concern over some YouTubers who tried to link the film with Political agendas. He stated, “And now when @maddockfilms @laxman.utekar and @vickykaushal09 have made this accurate film, I see some top YouTubers upload videos and linking it to politics and asked why this movie is come now.”
He conclude his post by urge people to watch this movie in theatres, and take your childrens also. It acknowledges the Maratha warriors in history. He wrote, “Please take your children to theatres and watch Chhaava, as we all done injustice to Maratha Sher #ChatrapatiSambhajiMaharaj by not celebrate him in our history.”
