Rishab Shetty’s latest film, Kantara Chapter 1, has crossed the Rs 300 crore mark in India. However, initial trade reports indicate that the film saw a drop in collections on Wednesday, which is typical for a weekday. It remains to be seen if the film will gain momentum during its second weekend in theatres.
The film has added another Rs 25 crore nett to its domestic box office collection, reflecting a 27 per cent drop from Day 6. The total collection over seven days now stands at Rs 316 crore nett in India.
Kantara Chapter 1 cross 300 crore in box office collection
The Hindi version of the film has already surpassed Rs 100 crore nett in India, while the Kannada version is expected to reach the Rs 100 crore nett milestone today. After seven days in theatres, the Hindi version earned Rs 102 crore, while the Kannada version recorded Rs 98.85 crore nett in India.

Written, directed, and led by Rishab Shetty, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles. The film was produced by Hombale Films and had a reported budget of Rs 125 crore.
