Adivasi contestant Banti Vadiva stole the show in the 16th Season of Kaun Banega Crorepati aired on September 4, 2024. Raised in a humble family with financial difficulties, his determination to survive against all odds was well reflected.
His father, a farmer earning a monthly amount of only Rs 11,000, found it very difficult to bear this cost for Banti’s coaching tuition fees. However, his parents did not discourage him from pursuing his dreams and instead went to take a loan for his tuition. Banti’s dream was not to become a farmer but to trace a different route for himself and people around the community.
Right from arriving in Mumbai with Rs 260 in his pocket, Banti’s journey had been mired with difficulties. Things, though, started to look up with his participation in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. After winning the fastest fingers first segment, some quick answering of questions helped contestant Banti Vadiva become a lakhpati.
He was quoted as saying:
“Even though we come from a small community, I believe our knowledge can make a big difference. I want to be a role model for my village. For generations, farming has been the only path available to our people; I am determined to change that.”

With this amount, Banti wants to try and repay the loan his father took for him. Furthermore, he wants to inspire his village that amidst hardships, a dream can be securely materialised. Host Amitabh Bachchan saluted the grit of Banti and his determination to go on.
Well, with that question of Rs 1 crore, he has prepared himself. Consequently, it keeps the audience in suspense to watch the further episode. In the promo, contestant Banti Vadiva said,
“Main mere life ka sabse bada risk lene jaa raha hun.”
The story of Banti comes as a strong reminder that education and knowledge can change the fate not only of an individual but also an entire community. As he takes the hot seat for that 1 crore question, the nation anticipates watching him win.
