The journey of Kantara: Chapter 1
Along with physical stress, Rishab Shetty discussed the creative journey of making ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’. The actor-filmmaker revealed that the screenplay for the prequel took much longer to develop, going through nearly 15 to 16 drafts before arriving at its final version.
Shetty said, “We went through almost 15 to 16 narration drafts. In the first part, we wrote only 3 to 4 drafts over 3 to 4 months and went straight to shoot. But for the prequel, the process was much deeper. We started with the story of Shiva’s father, and once that was ready, we realized the first part needed a backstory. That’s when we decided to go back and treat it as a beginning, not a legend.”
