Sunny Deol Lashes Out at Paparazzi Over Dharmendra's Health Scare Coverage

Sunny Deol expressed his anger on Thursday at the media gathered outside his family’s home. He was upset with the constant attention on his father, Dharmendra, who is unwell.

His outburst came after the family asked for privacy multiple times, following the leak of a video that allegedly showed them mourning at Dharmendra’s bedside. The veteran actor discharged from the hospital and returned home on Wednesday.

Sunny Deol express anger on Media

A day earlier, several media outlets incorrectly reported that the Sholay star had died. In a video shared on social media, Deol seen exiting his Juhu home and confronting the media.

“You all should be ashamed. You have parents and children at home, too. And here you are, filming like this. Don’t you feel ashamed?” the 68-year-old told the paparazzi. Dharmendra, who is 89, left Breach Candy hospital in south Mumbai early Wednesday morning after admitted for tests. His doctor, Dr. Pratit Samdani, stated that the actor would continue his recovery at home as the family requested.

Family request for privacy

In a statement, the family asked the media and the public to stop speculating and to respect Dharmendra’s privacy. “We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery. Please respect him because he loves you,” the family said through Deol’s PR representative.

On Tuesday, as rumors spread about his death and condolences began to come in, daughter Esha Deol and wife Hema Malini criticized the “irresponsible” behavior of the media and clarified that the actor was stable and responding to treatment. Media crews had been present outside both the hospital and the Deol residence over the past two days.
