Tragedy again: Another Allu Arjun fan reported dead during Pushpa 2 screening

A second Allu Arjun fan fell dead at a screening of the film Pushpa 2: The Rule, while a matinee show of the very same film had already run its course on Monday, killing the life of a 35-year-old man at a theatre in the Rayadurgam of Andhra Pradesh. The push for Pushpa 2  comes just days after a woman fan lost her life after she succumbed to asphyxiation at Hyderabad on December 4, watching the premiere of the same film.

The police have identified the victim as Harijana Madhannappa, a father of four. Kalyandurgam Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ravi Babu confirmed that the man had attended the show in an intoxicated state and consumed more alcohol inside the theatre. Around 6 pm, the cleaning staff discovered his lifeless body.

Authorities have registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act and are investigating the exact cause of death. Sad news has rocked the fans yet again, and another fan death by suicide was reported outside Pushpa 2’s screening.

Young female Allu Arjun fan died during Pushpa 2 screening last week

Last week’s tragedy during the film’s release was a stampede at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad where a young female fan died and her son was left seriously injured. Consequently, the theatre owner, manager, and another staff member were arrested. Police also filed cases against Allu Arjun and his security team for alleged negligence under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Act.

Both Allu Arjun and director Sukumar expressed regret over the incidents. While speaking to the press, they apologized to the families of the victims and pledged to help them with medical and financial support. Arjun also requested the fans to be careful while going to theatres. The deaths of devoted fans have marred the release of Pushpa 2, despite the huge success it has gained.
