Telugu actor Manchu Manoj apologized to the press earlier today after his veteran actor father, Manchu Mohan Babu, was accused of allegedly assaulting a journalist covering their property dispute story. This reporter was talking to representatives earlier today as Manchu Manoj addressed reporters with hands clasped together.

The incident happened yesterday at Mohan Babu’s residence in Jalapalli. A reporter from the news channel, TV9, lodged a complaint accusing Mohan Babu of hitting him with a microphone. In his report, he explained that when he questioned him about the dispute, he became angry and hurled insults before he assaulted him.

Videos from the ground provide instances of the journalist falling down. Doctors later revealed that the reporter sustained three fractures in his cheekbones by doing plastic surgery. He further went into severe head injury. The property dispute has further seen Mohan Babu and Manoj filing complaints against one another in police cases.
