Amid Nagpur violence over Aurangzeb’s tomb, journalist Saurabh Shukla has drawn a Chhava connection to the conflict. “After looking ‘Chhaava’ movie, people came out on the roads with sticks and rods for Aurangzeb. It cause Vicky Kaushal’s Movie Chhaava faced backlash . Its actor Vicky Kaushal and producer have earned ₹553 crore. They’re now sitting of their Mercedes and are busy shooting any other movie. You are shouting slogans at the roads, breaking every other’s heads,” Shukla wrote.

Chhaava portrays the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Shivaji Maharaj. It faced backlash for allegedly fictionalising Hindu torture below Aurangzeb. Some agencies claim it’s  traditionally erroneous and exaggerated.

“If you put towns on fire after looking a film or seeing Aurangzeb’s effigy being burned, then your thoughts meet. And people who support this ignorant mind-set for their political ideology want the equal treatment too,” reacted a social media user. “It’s time to really boycott Bollywood. In recent years, their divisive movies, filled with distorted information and history, screen their ethical financial disaster.  “Vicky Kaushal, who himself married a Muslim woman, is a main contributor to stressful the peace of the country by doing such low-grade movies. A case should be filed against him,” commented some other.

Cause Behind Nagpur violence

Violence broke out in Nagpur’s Mahal area after protest by Vishwa Hindu Parishad for removal of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s tomb. It cause Vicky Kaushal’s Movie Chhaava faced backlash and Tensions escalated between  companies. Several firemen and police employees were injured in the clashes.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis appealed to people to calm and not agree with such rumors.  Earlier, he also state that the demand for the tomb’s elimination however insisted that any such action must be taken legally.
