Watch: People throw tomatoes outside Allu Arjun's residence after stampede incident

Tensions ran high in Hyderabad as protesters flocked outside Telugu actor Allu Arjun’s residence and accused him of being responsible for the tragic stampede at his latest movie, Pushpa 2. The unfortunate incident on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre killed a woman and put her eight-year-old son into a coma.

The protesters, claiming to be students of Osmania University, barged into the residence of the actor, hurling tomatoes and breaking flower pots. The police were then deployed to disperse them and secure the premises.

The controversy started after there were allegations that Allu Arjun attended the event despite the denial of permission by the police. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, speaking in the assembly yesterday, said the actor had conducted a roadshow, waving from his car’s sunroof and triggering chaos.

Reddy said that even after the woman’s tragic death, Allu Arjun remained inside the cinema hall until police intervened and escorted him out. A recently surfaced video of the actor being escorted by officers corroborates the Chief Minister’s claims.

The tragedy has sparked an outpouring of outrage, with many questioning the responsibility of celebrities and event organizers in ensuring crowd safety. Fans and critics alike are demanding accountability as the victim’s child fights for his life in a city hospital.

The incident has cast a shadow over the release of Pushpa 2, one of the most anticipated films of the year. While Allu Arjun has not issued any official statement, pressure is mounting for him to address the allegations and the tragic consequences of the event.

The authorities are looking into the circumstances that led to this stampede, and the city is still reeling in public outcry over the aftermath.
