Indian and Eurasian plates Cause Triggers earthquakes

Delhi and its surrounding areas lie above a complex network of active geological fault pressures, such as the Mahendragarh-Dehradun Fault, Delhi-Haridwar Ridge, Delhi-Sargodha Ridge, and others. The tectonic history in this place is prompted by fault movements and the broader collision of the Indian and Eurasian plates, which create stresses alongside these faults.

Seismologists say that the latest moderate Earthquake, ranges between magnitudes 2.0 and 4.5, replicate ongoing tectonic pressure release and advise that the Mahendragarh-Dehradun Fault played a role in the July tremors.
