Speaking at the 2025 edition of the annual semiconductor conference, Semicon India, the Prime Minister said that India achieved a 7.8% GDP growth, even though the world has been placed in “selfishness”, and has come in the development areas.

He said, “In 2025, we approved five more projects to bring the cumulative count to 10 projects,” he said. “These projects have invested a joint investment of $ 18 billion or ₹ 1.5 lakh crore. It reflects the world’s trust in India.”

 From paperwork to wafer work

Mr. Modi said, “The less the time from file to factory, and the paperwork, the sooner the wafer work can begin for Semicon India 2025,” Mr. Modi said, insisting that it was the government’s approach. On this, he also highlighted the national single window system, that implemented by the government, allowing all approvals from both the Center and the states to access the same platform.

Mr. Modi said that it is accurate and scale time distribution. He emphasized that the policies of the government not directed to “short-term signals but long-term commitments”, that assures all support to the semiconductor ecosystem in India.
