What began as a complaint about a piece of chicken in a biryani order escalated into a street fight near Engineering College crossing in Lucknow, leaving three people seriously injured. A video of the incident went viral.
Police said that the clash occurred on Wednesday night when Suraj Prajapati, a resident of Tedhi Pulia, and his friend Mohammad Aamir went to a local eatery to buy biryani. When Prajapati asked for a piece of chicken to be swapped out, the situation quickly turned violent.
Lucknow Restaurant owner attack customer on asking chicken piece in biryani
The restaurant owner, Rizwan, verbally attacked the customer, leading to an argument. As things escalated, Rizwan and his employee Zameer, along with 10-12 other staff members, attacked the two customers using iron rods, sticks, and chairs.
Customer suffers serious head injury
Prajapati suffered a serious head injury and a fractured arm, losing consciousness after the assault. His friend Aamir also fainted from his injuries. A local lawyer, Devendra Pratap Singh, who tried to help calm the situation, was also attacked and hurt.
Inspector Shivanand Mishra of Madiaon police station said that an FIR was filed. Rizwan and his workers were arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
