Illegal, unhygienic bakery in Hyderabad Busted, Seized goods worth Rs 2.77 lakh

A bakery that allegedly operating without a valid license and in unsanitary conditions raided by Hyderabad Police on Thursday, April 2, officials said. The bakery, called “Chand Bakery,” was located at Natraj Nagar, Jhirra, in Tappachabutra.

Illegal Bakery Busted in Hyderabad

The owner, Syed Khadeer arrested. Police seized materials worth Rs 2,77,630, which included 50 kg of maida, 50 kg of sugar, six cartons of sauce, 13 cartons of Dalda ghee, 25 kg of coconut powder, 20 kg of cake powder, four tins of oil, eight kg of chicken, and machinery.

The accused lacked a food license, a manufacturing license, and labor or trade licenses. They also did not follow any fire safety protocols, according to the police. These products supplied to various kirana and general stores, cafes, and hotels, which posed a risk to public safety, they added.

A case filed under sections 274 (adulteration of food or drink intended for sale), 275 (sale of harmful food or drink), and 318(4) (cheating) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
