A video showing a restaurant worker in Ghaziabad spitting on rotis has gone viral on social media.
The incident took place at a hotel called ‘Chicken Point.’ In the video, a worker prepares rotis in a tandoor after spitting on them. A bystander recorded the act, and the clip quickly spread online, causing public outrage.

After the video circulated, SuryabaliMaurya, ACP Kavinagar, said that on January 8, 2026, a video was brought to the attention of Vardhmanpuram outpost under MadhubanBapudham police station. The video showed a shop worker allegedly spitting while making rotis. After reviewing the video, the claims seemed to be clearly valid.
Cook arrested by police
Maurya noted that the police quickly arrested the worker, identified as Javed Ansari. Authorities have filed a case against him under relevant laws and started legal proceedings.
Ghaziabad has seen several similar incidents before. Earlier, locals attacked a shopkeeper in Ghaziabad for supposedly serving fruit juices mixed with urine. Police later arrested Aamir Khan, the owner of Khushi Juice Corner, and detained his minor assistant. Local residents are calling for strict action from the administration to stop such actions and ensure food safety.
