She spoke after opening the rangoli and cooking competitions organized. It celebrate Women’s Day at the Sabha Bhavan of Moorusavira mutt in Hubballi on March 1. On behalf of the Dharwad district unit of the Karnataka Working Journalists’ Association, Mayor Jyoti Patil inaugurated the event by drawing a rangoli.
Mayor’s Remarks on the Role of Journalists
She praised the enthusiasm of the women participants and said Women’s Day celebrations should include new and creative elements. She noted that the rangoli designs showed love and artistic talent and recognized the many responsibilities women manage at home and in society. She emphasized that they deserve respect and acknowledgment every day.
