Modi Warns Against Antibiotic Self-Medication

“This is a matter of great concern for all of us,” he said. According to the report, the PM highlighted that one of the main reasons for this trend is the casual use of antibiotics by the public. He warned that antibiotics are not medications to be taken lightly and emphasized that they should only be used under medical advice.

Urge people to stop consuming

“Nowadays, people have started believing that just taking a pill would cure all their problems. This is why diseases and infections are becoming too strong for these antibiotics,” he said. He encouraged people to avoid self-medication, pointing out that this habit is especially harmful with antibiotics.

“I urge all of you to refrain from using medicines at your own discretion. This is especially important with antibiotics. I would simply say: Medicines require guidance, and antibiotics require doctors. This practice will prove very helpful in improving your health,” PM Modi said.
