Unusual Takla virus spreads across Maharashtra, people get bald within 3 days

Amid fears regarding the HMPV virus throughout India, a fresh health scare is spreading like a brushfire throughout the Buldhana district. Dubbed “Takla Virus,” this disease across Maharashtra, where there are reported incidents of severe hair fall after a mere three days since symptoms start manifesting, is making waves by triggering panicking.

About 15 villages in the Shegaon tehsil, which includes Hingna, Bondgaon, Bhota, and Pahur Purna, have been said to be affected by the outbreak. According to the villagers, this condition is such that it results in hair loss very quickly, making people bald within less than a week. Sometimes the loss is so easy that hair can even be pulled out without much effort.

Local authorities have been informed, and the health department has begun a survey to determine the cause of the outbreak. The officials are testing water samples from the affected areas to see if contamination could be the cause.
