It took simply 25 mins for India to reveal 24 Strikes in India that struck 9 terror camps and killed 70 terrorists in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The strikes, lasted from 1:05 AM to 1:30 AM on May 7, carried out jointly by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force under codename Operation Sindoor.
At a press briefing in New Delhi, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, flanked by Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, said the operation was a “measured and share” response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. That attack, attributed to Pakistan-based terror groups, claimed the lives of 26 human beings. It consists of one Nepali national, and left many others injured.
Number of Strikes in India and Locations
The missile strikes targeted facilities in Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Bahawalpur, Rawalakot, Chakswari, Bhimber, Neelum Valley, Jhelum, and Chakwal. All areas long suspected by intelligence company of harbouring terrorist camps. These sites believed to be affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), two terror groups responsible for different attacks in India over the years.
Of the nine places hit, 5 have been in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, and 4 were in mainland Pakistan. Bahawalpur, considerably, has been a recognised stronghold of JeM. Muzaffarabad and Bhimber identified through Indian protection groups as transit and logistics factors for infiltration into Kashmir.
Scale of Damage by Mock drills
Over 70 terrorists were killed, and more than 60 sustained accidents. The Strikes in India done using a combination of floor-released and air-launched missiles. Real-time monitoring by surveillance drones allowed confirmation of target destruction with minimum civilian casualties, government resources said.
Precision-guided munitions, along with laser-different missiles and satellite TV for pc-guided go with the flow bombs. They are used to make sure high strike accuracy and avoid collateral damage. Missiles released from air and land platforms in a synchronised sample, with different warheads putting concurrently to neutralise the fear camps.
