“Six peoples died, and five had been injured in Kullu Landslide. Six people were killed and five injured in a landslide accompanied by a tree falling near to Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib in Kullu in Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. Police and rescue groups of the district management have shifted five injured to the local community clinic at Jari,” Ashwani Kumar, additional district Justice of the Peace, Kullu, informed ANI.
Kullu MLA Sunder Singh Thakur informed ANI, “This incident occurred near Manikaran Gurudwara where a tree uprooted. Bodies are being reach to the health facility, and the 4 injured are also being added right here. A police group and the management are present on the spot.”
Tree fall near Gurdwara Manikaran Sahib during Kullu Landslide
A tree at the mountain opposite tothe gurudwara was given uprooted following a storm and landslide. It fell on a few vehicles parked on the street, killing six and injuring three others, officers advised PTI. The injured were released to Jari Hospital for treatment, the officers introduced.
Medical groups, police, and sales officials are present on the spot and coordinating rescue and relief operations, stated Kullu’s Sub Divisional Magistrate Vikas Shukla informed journalists on the spot. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur have expressed deep grief over the incident.
CM Sukhu Intrsuct administration to support Victims
CM Sukhu has directed the district administration to extend all possible help to the victims and their households. He has also instructed officers to ensure the quality possible medical treatment for the injured. Earlier this month, heavy rains and snowfall disrupted everyday life in several parts of Himachal Pradesh, triggering Kullu Landslide, blocking off roads, and huge mounds of debris swept by gushing waters and detrimental vehicles in Kullu.
