CCTV footage from a nearby house captured the blast’s impact, which left widespread destruction. Another video displayed fire crews battling flames as heavy smoke billowed from the site. Massive debris littered the ground, with multiple vehicles engulfed in flames. Body parts reportedly scattered in neighboring houses about 300 meters away. Some residents more than 15 kilometers away claimed they felt the explosion.
“White Collar” Terror Module
On Monday afternoon, the Jammu and Kashmir Police announced they had dismantled an inter-state and transnational “white collar” terror module linked to at least two banned terrorist organizations: the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed and the Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an al-Qaeda affiliated group active in the union territory.
They also seized 2,900 kgs of explosive materials and arrested eight people, including three doctors—Adeel Ahmad Rather, Muzammil Shakeel, and Shaheen Saeed—connected to Al-Falah University in Faridabad.
Hours later, an explosion occurred in a car at a red light near the iconic Red Fort in Delhi, killing 13 people and injuring over 20 others. The following morning, another doctor from Jammu and Kashmir, Umar Nabi, identified as the driver of the Hyundai i20 car that exploded.
