Diary Evidence: Another twist in Ahmedabad Dosa Death case
A key clue in the case is a diary recovered by the police. An officer noted, “We found a diary from the home of the mother’s parents. She wrote in it that she wanted a boy and promised to visit a temple if her wish came true.” This raises suspicion that the deaths may not have been accidental.
Incident and Illness
The incident occurred on April 1, 2026. Two-and-a-half-month-old Raha and three-year-old Mishri became ill along with their parents after eating dosa made from batter bought from a local dairy. The father, Vimal Prajapati, said he purchased the batter from Ghanshyam Dairy, and the family ate it at home. Shortly after, everyone started feeling unwell.
The dairy owners, Ketan Patel and Vipul Patel, said, “On April 1, Vimal Prajapati bought 6 kg of dosa batter from us. Later, he came back and said the batter made his family sick. We checked the CCTV and contacted other customers who bought the battery that day, but no one else experienced any issues. We want a fair investigation. This is a tragic incident.”
