Mobile networks in India experiencing the outage on Monday, August 18, on August 18, starting prominently with Airtel, then with Jio and Vodafone-Idea. A post on social media platform X confirmed the service blockage by Airtel, as many problems faced, and the mobile was using the Internet. The issue was first flagged in Delhi-NCR and later in Mumbai and Bengaluru, and it soon spread across India.

A company statement said, “Our customers of Delhi-NCR have been experiencing some voice calling issues for the last one hour.” It said, “The important part of this issue has already been solved and our engineers working to solve it completely. We regret any inconvenience deeply.”
Dowdater, a portal that monitors tech glitches, saw more than 3,600 reports of Airtel Outage at around 4:32 pm on Monday. By 6 pm, there was a gradual decline in reports of fewer than 2,000. The outage reports from Jio and VI customers were also higher than the average.
Responding to a post on X, which claimed that Airtel mobile network users of Delhi-NCR had problems calling users, the company said it was working to solve the issue.
Company team working to resolve and restore internet services
In response to the post, the company said on X, “We are currently experiencing a network outage, our team is actively working to solve the problem and restore services immediately. We apologize for inconvenienced honestly. Thanks, Team Airtel.” Most of the reported Airtel outage detectors belonged to mobile phones, followed by signals and mobile internet issues.
A dowedtector map of Airtel outage-affected areas also features Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, and Madurai in red, which means much higher than the overall complaints from all corners of the country.
