A few hours after news emerged of a Bangalore Rapido bike taxi driver hit a woman, CCTV pictures show that the assaulted woman hit the biker first, after what seems to be a argument.
The driver, who was arrested by the Bengaluru police after the video of the attack was widely circulated, released a video providing his version of the story. In a twist to the attack on the girl commuter, the person accused said story.

“She booked on Rapido in the morning at 9:00 am. I picked her up from her place; she was already talking rashly, telling me where to head,” he started, describing what he claims was a traumatic ride from the starting.
The driver said he intentionally took a course through Jayanagar, a shortcut he frequently uses to keep away from site visitors and assist passengers in reach their destination quickly. “I keep away from the main street in Jayanagar so that they don’t get late,” he said.
Women hit Driver first
According to him, things quickly escalated. “Suddenly, a vehicle came in my way and stopped me. I had stopped around 100 meters away from her office. She asked me what I’ve studied and if I know how to drive,” he said. “I informed her that I got her here as it’s a shortcut. She didn’t allow me to talk; she spoke very rashly.” At this Bangalore Rapido case point, the person admits he has lost his calm.
“So I was given indignant and said, ‘Go back to your country.'” He then said she persisted in shouting, even after he informed her the fare was Rs 77. “She raised her hands at me, and I said, ‘You don’t have the right to do this.’ She hit me with a tiffin box.”
